Insight Global is looking to hire a Structural Engineer for one of our engineering clients in St. Louis, MO. This is an entry level position at an established engineering firm. The role with start out with shadowing a Sr. Structural Engineer where you will review drawings and project plans to familiarize yourself with the primary product- Heat Recovery Steam Generators. Following initial training, the individual will perform calculations using VBA / SQL to test for structural integrity based off the design requested in the purchase order. They will work individually to provide feedback and adjustments to the drawings. They will base their adjustments off of their findings and calculations while keeping in mind the needs of the client. Their final design calculations will then be sent off to a fabrication team to complete.

Completed bachelors in Steel Design, Civil, or Structural Engineering
GPA above 3.2 and ability to provide a unofficial transcript
Ability to perform calculations on steel structures for bending stress, buckling, etc.
Ability to write programs ( VBA or SQL )
Strong desire for a career as a Structural engineer
Any experience in steel design area- specifically with structures/boilers
Computer programming with VBA or SQL
