Job Description
Our client, a premier data center service provider of cloud, colocation, managed services and DR, is looking for a motivated Azure Solution/Pre-Sales Architect to join their internal Cloud overlay team. The Cloud overlay team enables customers digital transformation journeys with best practices, innovation and, technical leadership for adoption of our client's services. This Solution/Pre-Sales Architect will work as a member of the team and be responsible for providing advice and technical consulting to our customers in the adoption of Azure Cloud and Managed Services. In addition, they will serve a critical role in the pre-sales organization and will be a senior level position that supports prospective customer sales cycles. A critical skill of the successful candidate will be his/her enthusiasm towards customer service while working with all internal constituents and partners. This person will provide Architectural and Design consultative services to prospects and clients regarding their preparedness for enterprise levels of Microsoft's Azure Cloud and associated platforms and services. They will evaluate customers' internal & external business issues to help identify, qualify, design, develop and present solutions based upon customer's business requirements. They will also develop and design key performance indicators based on analysis and requirements gathering with the customer as well as document accurate logical design and technical architectural documents for analytics solutions. After this, they will set up a meeting with the customer and deliver their proposals of technical consulting engagements, including reference architecture definition and service implementation. Once the sale is confirmed, they will be responsible for communicating the business requirements to the internal Professional Services and/or Implementation team after completion of sale to ensure a smooth transition from presales to implementation. It is important that this person is continually keeping their Azure Cloud Services knowledge up to date with new features and functionality so they can share this knowledge internally. Lastly, they will also help develop and improve internal sales assets and solutions as well as solutions used for client projects.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum of 2 years in a Microsoft Azure pre-sales role
5 years+ of presales experience with most of the time spent in IT and/or IT consulting roles in Cloud, Managed Services, and Business Continuity
Demonstrated experience developing and delivering customer facing programs and deliverables
Experience in customer facing roles and success leading technical architecture discussions with senior customer executives, Enterprise Architects, IT Management and Developers to drive cloud design & deployment and modernization plans
Strong technical acumen as it relates to assessing and transforming customer environments
Customer advocacy
Strong ability to collaborate with internal teams to timely complete projects and resolve issues
Ability to think in an entrepreneurial style to promote and implement new ideas and activities
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and ability to prioritize/organize effectively
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Ability to prepare RFP responses and create demonstration scenarios to address the business requirements outlined in the RFP or desired demonstration script provided by the prospect.
Prior experience with innovation led teams
