Job Description
A client of Insight Global is looking for a Department Assistant to join the Sales and Marketing Team of one of Kansas City's largest engineering firms. As the Department Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with team meetings, event planning, organizing and maintaining the electronic filing system, email and phone correspondence, and other clerical/administrative needs. Additionally, you will occasionally be tasked with completing expense reports to support the Sales Department, processing sponsorships, making travel arrangements, reading and sorting incoming mail and processes, etc. This position requires someone with excellent organization skills and attention to detail as well as strong communication skills as this person will be communicating with internal employees of the company as well as external personnel (clients, business partners, vendors, etc.)
Required Skills & Experience
* High school diploma
* 2+years of administrative experience
* Strong organization skills, communication skills, and attention to detail
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Experience with Microsoft office (PowerPoint, Teams)
* Previous experience communicating with both internal members of an organization as well as external individuals (clients, vendors, business partners, etc.)
