Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee all site safety operations for a manufacturing construction project in Byhalia, MS. This role requires a strong background in mechanical piping, welding, and equipment setting, along with the ability to lead safety initiatives in a fast‑paced industrial environment. The Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance, conducting field audits, and promoting a proactive safety culture throughout the duration of the project.

Key Responsibilities
Lead all on‑site safety activities for a large‑scale manufacturing construction project

Conduct daily safety inspections, audits, and job hazard analyses

Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and project‑specific safety requirements

Oversee safety practices related to mechanical piping, welding, rigging, and equipment setting

Facilitate safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training for all site personnel

Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; implement corrective actions

Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and logs

Collaborate closely with project managers, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure safe work execution

Serve as the on‑site safety resource and advisor throughout the project lifecycle

Required Skills & Experience

OSHA 30 certification (minimum)

Experience in mechanical piping, welding, and equipment setting safety oversight

Strong understanding of industrial and manufacturing construction environments

Proven ability to lead safety programs on active construction sites

Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Additional safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 500/510, CHST, STS, etc.)

Experience with large manufacturing or industrial facility construction

Strong incident investigation and root‑cause analysis skills
