Job Description

• Follow structured training and documentation with precision and consistency
• Use Microsoft Excel for basic data entry, tracking, and organization
• Collaborate with team members to ensure design accuracy and compliance
• Demonstrate critical thinking when encountering design challenges
• Utilize computer systems and software tools to manage telecom operations and reporting

Assignment overview:
The candidate will be designing the light path from the equipment to the customer and pre-designing for potential customers along the path. The design will be in the method of splice drawings that will be used to splice up the fiber by another group. They will be trouble shooting with the splicers when the design fails and finding solutions. There will be training by an experienced trainer and designer. They will record the designs in at least one system and work with several departments.

Required Skills & Experience

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., spreadsheets, formatting)
• Good understanding of OSP construction drawings and terminology (background in telecom)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to retain and apply training material
• Critical thinking skills with a willingness to ask questions and seek clarity

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Any circuit database experience (netcracker)
• Experience with any fiber management software (IQ go, OSP Insight, etc)
