Insight Global is looking for a Project Manager for one of our large manufacturing clients located in Holly Springs, MS. This individual will lead new product design launches, creating clear expectations, timelines, and processes in order to stick to budgets and expectations. Although they will have no direct reports, they will need to work with a variety of teams, like engineering, manufacturing, accounting, and leadership, to complete the launches.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for managing new product development programs, IME (Improvements, Modifications & Extensions) projects and product changes as assigned and include:
Leading a cross functional team to develop and launch new products or manage major changes to existing products. Accountable from start to completion of project goals, objectives and managing project budget. Leads the project team to achieve its chartered purpose and desired outcomes. Coordinates with functional leaders to assign the appropriate team members to the project. Creates a stable working environment. Will train and mentor other functional team members in project management tools and processes critical to project success.
Manage project using Win Strategy process. Present project status at stage gate reviews to maintain alignment of the project timing with the appropriate Win Strategy stages. Utilize project management, product launch processes, APQP and change management tools to effectively manage projects.
Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, project team members, and division management. Serve as prime point of contact for customer interface and status reporting on new products in development. Hold meeting cadence as necessary to track, communicate and close project task status throughout the entire program.
Manage project and product cost. Develop product cost estimates and provide oversight of engineering cost estimates provided to strategic pricing for IME products and product changes. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and supply chain teams to achieve target costs for materials and production processes.
Ensures that the product validation, quality and performance requirements meet or exceeds customer expectations as outlined in customer value proposition. Ensure compliance to IATF / ISO standards by following procedures and processes established for product development and change management. Utilize lessons learned from past projects to improve future products and processes.
Manage project schedule to meet internal and external project requirements. Create and tracks the master schedule for the entire program; ensures all deliverables and milestones are met and aligned with customer schedules. Plans and tracks the project team effort. Manage changes and impacts to product and projects scope (cost, schedule, quality) to minimize impact to project performance.
In collaboration with the cross functional project team; identify, communicate, and manage risk throughout the project lifecycle.
Salary Range: $110,000- $130,000
