Job Description

An employer is looking for a highly skilled Event Coordinator to join their growing Marketing team! As an Event Coordinator, you will help conceptualize ideas for trade events, collaborate with vendors and guests, and oversee the trade show operations. You will also be required to oversee the marketing campaigns and strategies for exhibitions. You should also possess excellent project management skills with exceptional marketing and communications experience. We are looking for someone with problem solving capabilities who has the ability to "pivot" quickly when one way isn't working.

Key Responsibilities:

-Organize and define strategy for scheduled events.

-Secure booth bookings, plan layout, and compile venue information to determine booth

requirements.

-Plan and place orders for booth needs: electricity, furnishings, carpet, LEAD retrieval (if available),

etc...

-Organize shipping for booth materials and giveaways.

-Coordinate with sales lead on expectations for the show.

-Keep detailed account of orders, invoices, and receipts.

-Input expenses in budget.

-Plan marketing support- emails, social media, advertising

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelor's degree in project management, marketing, communications, or similar.

-Comfortable with computer programs such as MS Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook.

-Excellent financial management abilities.

- Interpersonal and negotiation skills.

-Strong organizational and time management abilities.

-Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

-The ability to work under pressure.

-Willingness to be "on-call" on some weekend shows.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-A minimum of 1 year experience as a trade show/event coordinator or similar
