We provide high quality pharmacy benefit management and pharmacy care services digitally enabled and clincally integrated at lower costs to the consumer. OptumRx processes over 1.3B scripts per year for over 60 million pharmacy consumers nationwide. The OptumRx Monitoring Center of Excellence is a team of 17 global technical resources providing modern application performance monitoring solutions for OptumRx services. We are seeking a Splunk Observability monitoring resource to join our team in developing and deploying this to our cloud applications. The idea candidate will need to engage with OptumRx application teams to develop a plan to deploy Splunk Observability as part of a pipeline with automation. It will be beneficial to have a healthcare background and experience using other monitoring APM tools like Dynatrace New Relic DataDog.
Can you please provide a summary of the project/initiative which describes whats being done? This project is to implement Splunk Observability Cloud Product Suite for monitoring OptumRx high priority applications providing pharmacy services to our customers. The expected outcomes for this new monitoring technology will be reduced application down times faster root cause analysis and return to service for our customers. Since this is a new monitoring technology to OptumRx service capability standards and deliverables will need to be developed as part of this implementation.

5 years hands-on experience in Splunk
1 years hands-on experience in Splunk Observability
2 years Public Cloud Azure Experience
1 year experience in using configuration management solutions such as Chef Puppet or Ansible
