Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an HVAC Test Technicians to support a growing R&D lab focused on developing next-generation HVAC equipment. This role is ideal for candidates who want to move out of field service into a controlled lab environment, working hands-on with equipment ranging from small systems to large chillers while collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Required Skills & Experience

Associate’s degree in HVAC/R OR technical certificate with relevant experience
Strong understanding of refrigeration fundamentals
Hands-on HVAC experience (commercial preferred; residential considered with solid background)
Ability to troubleshoot, wire, and repair HVAC systems
Experience working with tools, mechanical systems, and instrumentation
Familiarity with lockout/tagout safety procedures
Ability to work at heights and around industrial equipment
Basic computer skills (email, Teams, MS Office)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with air-cooled or water-cooled chillers
Mechanical lab or field service experience
EPA 608 Universal certification
Forklift, scissor lift, or man lift certifications
Commercial HVAC experience over residential-only
Union training or endorsements
Experience mentoring or training others
