Job Description

This Senior Firmware Verification Engineer is responsible for leading verification plans and large hearing aid projects. They take a system-view to analyze problems across firmware, hardware, software and system interactions. Senior Engineers can receive an under-defined task, bringing clarity to the task, and accomplishing the task with high quality. They can independently and professionally interact with other teams. A Senior Firmware Engineer demonstrates both breadth and depth of knowledge.
This position will collaborate closely with U.S. based firmware and verification teams. Maintaining a working overlap with the U.S. central time of two to three hours is required.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline required; Master's degree or PhD preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years with an MSEE, or 2+ years with a PhD.
• Strong understanding of risk-based verification methodologies, traceability, and validation practices.
• Proficiency in Python and MATLAB for test automation and engineering analysis.
• Familiarity with embedded systems development and embedded firmware architectures.
• Hands-on experience testing and debugging firmware on target hardware platforms.
• Experience utilizing hardware debugging tools such as JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities for complex technical challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and decisions. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional and global engineering teams.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience in audio signal processing, DSP, or Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) wireless systems.
• Experience working within regulated development environments, including FDA, IEC 62304, or ISO 13485 frameworks.
• Experience with RTOS environments and low-level hardware/software integration.
• Knowledge of C and assembly programming languages.
• Understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles.
