Job Description
Join the client's Digital Banking Experience (DBX) team to build a modern, in-house digital banking platform. This team is responsible for replacing vendor systems and delivering scalable, custom banking solutions ahead of a 2028 deadline.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop full stack features across frontend and backend systems
- Build integrations with core banking platforms
- Design and implement GraphQL APIs for data access and orchestration
- Work cross-functionally to deliver end-to-end solutions without handoffs
- Contribute to architecture decisions and engineering standards
- Collaborate in a highly transparent, Slack-driven engineering culture
- Drive rapid delivery of features in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Work Environment
- Remote-first (CST collaboration, 9-3:30 core hours)

Required Skills & Experience
Frontend: React, React Native, TypeScript
Backend:
GraphQL (core requirement)
TypeScript / Node or Java (flexible between the two)
DynamoDB
Kafka / streaming technologies
Architecture focus:
Building internal backend layer to integrate with Nimbus core + EIS platform
Heavy emphasis on custom development vs vendor reliance
Work split: ~50/50 frontend/backend (especially early)
Ability to design and build APIs and backend services from scratch
Soft Skills / Culture Fit
- Low ego, team-first mindset (critical requirement)
- Strong communicator in open / transparent environments
- Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and new team environments
- Passion for engineering beyond day-to-day work
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience in fintech / banking environments
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture
- Prior work integrating with external or legacy systems
