Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst / Data Analyst with deep expertise in healthcare quality measures, data analysis, and business requirements development. This individual will play a critical role in designing and enhancing HEDIS and Medicare quality measure capabilities while supporting next-generation AI-powered healthcare analytics initiatives.

This role is approximately 50% Business Analysis and 50% Data Analysis and requires someone who can independently investigate data, derive business requirements, drive stakeholder discussions, and translate business needs into features and stories for development teams.

The successful candidate will possess both strong technical analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders, product leaders, and technology teams. They will be working 8am-5pm CST business hours.

Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis
- Perform deep data profiling and exploratory analysis across healthcare datasets.
- Analyze inbound files and source data to understand structure, relationships, and business meaning.
- Evaluate every element of a dataset, including:

Column-level analysis
Distinct value analysis
Data quality validation
Business rule identification

- Develop business rules and transformation logic from data findings.
- Define data mappings, source-to-target relationships, and transformation requirements.
- Validate data accuracy and support testing efforts.

Business Analysis
- Gather and document business requirements.
- Translate requirements into Features and User Stories within Aha.
- Define business outcomes and expected functionality.
- Partner with development teams to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and backlog refinement.
- Prioritize features and support SDLC delivery efforts.

Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner directly with business leaders and healthcare quality stakeholders.
- Present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Explain business value and operational impact of proposed solutions.
- Support discussions involving quality measures and AI-enabled capabilities.

Clinical & Quality Measure Support
- Interpret healthcare and clinical data.
- Review EMR/EHR records and clinical charts.
- Identify evidence supporting quality measure compliance and care gap closure.
- Support implementation and enhancement of Medicare and HEDIS quality measures.
