Job Description

Insight Global is hiring an Engineering Technician in the Minneapolis area to support a liquid lab team with one of our manufacturing partners. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and is interested in learning and growing within a lab environment.
In this role, you’ll support a range of activities such as testing lab methods, helping develop new products and technologies, and calibrating equipment. You may also experience hands-on work with fabrication, welding, and working with tools and materials like oils. We’re looking for someone detail-oriented, motivated to learn, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Excel, are required.

There are two openings, one for first shift and one that may support either first or a split shift. This is a fully onsite role (5 days/week), with a pay range of $21–23/hour depending on experience.

Required Skills & Experience

- Associates degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience as a technician or in a related field.
- Working knowledge of test equipment and test standards
- Proficient computer literacy skills (MS Office, Excel).
- Demonstrated mechanical/technical aptitude.
- Ability to determine good versus bad data and troubleshoot during testing.
- Ability to readily adapt to changing priorities and take direction from supervisors and team members.
- Ability to communicate concisely and accurately to individuals and small groups.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and completeness of data, reports, records, etc.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Bachelors degree or higher-level of education
