Business Systems Analyst - Kafka

An employer is seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join one of our largest national financial services clients for a contract-to-hire opportunity. In this role you’ll join a growing team and work cross-functionally between stakeholders and developers to ensure roadblocks are alleviated so developers can effectively push out usable code. This client is primarily focused on wealth management, with their banking & lending application which leverages several external bank partnerships. The ideal candidate comes from a banking background and has hands-on experience working as a business analyst partnering with developers to set up the architecture for real time transactions with Kafka. Any prior experience working with developers who are building Microservices and APIs from scratch will help you be successful on this team. This role does not require that you come from a coding background, but you must be technical enough to keep up in having conversations with technical teams. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire with potential for conversion after the initial 6-month period. This team goes on site 4 days / week, typically Monday – Thursday, therefore you must be comfortable commuting to their location in downtown Minneapolis to be successful on this team.

• At least 5 years working as a business analyst
• Recent experience supporting a banking client
• Prior experience working cross functionally between business and technical teams to alleviate road blocks for developers
• Prior experience supporting developers working with Kafka Steaming
• Prior experience supporting developers building APIs for real time transactions
• Ability to commute to their downtown Minneapolis location 4 days/week

Prior experience working for a local banking client such as USBank, Wells Fargo or Ameriprise
