Job Description

An employer is seeking a highly skilled Sr UX Researcher to join one of our largest national financial services clients. In this role you’ll join a growing team of about 15 individuals (1 service designer, 5 other UX researchers and 8 designers / capability owners). This client is currently working to reprioritize their 5 priority pillars, which are:
1. Ultra-High Net Worth
2. Banking & Lending
3. Advisor & Client Platforms
4. Foundations (Data Operations, Backend processes)
5. New Client Onboarding.

In this role you’ll primarily toggle between supporting the Ultra High Net Worth and Banking & Lending pillars, and lead end to end research. This will include analyzing the best way to approach research and build relationships with leaders heading up initiatives under each pillar. You’ll also fill gaps in knowledge and work cross functionally with stakeholders and team members to strategically push these initiatives forward. This role will also include partnering cross-country with other designers and mentoring more junior designers.

Responsibilities:
• Create journey maps, based on feedback from our users, business partners, Operations, Supervision and our technology teams
• Document new personas as needed and refine/update those existing in the persona library
• Heuristic evaluations of products, services and processes
• Use proven research practices and methods, tools and techniques; stay current to offer insight on innovation in the UX research space
• Design, plan and execute research to meet the needs of assigned projects; identify the most appropriate research methods to meet the needs of project-specific assignments
• Plan, facilitate and capture the results of discovery sessions, process mapping, journey mapping, design-thinking workshops and requirements gathering
• Capture, analyze and distill user feedback; partner with technology experience consultants and product and capability owners to formulate actionable ideas based on user feedback

Required Skills & Experience

• At least 5 years of experience working within the UX space
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Prior experience implementing proven research methods, including but not limited to, user interviews, usability testing, card sorting, cognitive walkthroughs, concept testing and competitive analysis
• End-to-end qualitative and quantitative research skills
• Prior experience working for an enterprise client
• Ability to work collaboratively and cross functionally with stakeholders and team members
• Ability to commute to the office in downtown Minneapolis 4 days/week

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Prior experience working within a highly regulated environment, such as financial services, banking or healthcare
