Job Description
This position sits fully remote, but the candidate must reside in MN for occasional in person meetings.
This role supports trading and hedging platforms, with a strong focus on trade compliance and regulatory rules that govern trading activities. The team uses ION, and we’re looking for someone who understands how trades flow, how they’re validated, and how systems stay compliant with regulations.
Responsibilities
-Operate independently as a senior QA/QE supporting functional and automation testing
-Quickly assess existing trading systems and integrations to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities
-Plan and estimate testing effort using standard test estimation techniques
-Create and execute test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts
-Collaborate closely with developers and other QA team members
-Log, track, and validate defects through resolution
-Support UAT and Go‑Live activities
-Use test data management to identify and work with required datasets
-Apply strong QA&QE best practices across all testing activities
-Use creative and efficient testing approaches in fast‑paced timelines
-Lead testing discussions, summarize results, track defects and metrics, and provide go / no‑go recommendations

Required Skills & Experience
-Experience supporting trading, hedging, financial, or risk management systems
-Strong understanding of trade compliance rules and regulations
-Experience working with trading platforms, preferably ION
-Ability to lead testing across multiple integrated systems
-Strong hands‑on experience with Playwright or Selenium automation
-Experience testing across SaaS, COTS, and custom‑built platforms
-Strong backend testing experience (APIs and databases)
-Ability to write and execute complex SQL queries
-Experience using AI tools to support testing activities
-Working knowledge of Snowflake
-Experience with Azure DevOps or similar test management tools
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable working in a fast‑changing environment with minimal guidance
