Job Description

The Test Engineer I works onsite in Plymouth, Minnesota and is responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting production test solutions for new and existing Lantronix products. This role ensures smooth production testing, troubleshoots hardware and software issues, and supports manufacturing through training and documentation updates. Strong analytical skills and hands‑on production test experience are required. Experience with Linux scripting and LabVIEW is a plus

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related discipline
2+ years of experience in production test engineering
Hands‑on experience with:

Scripting languages
Networking
Functional testing
Box build assembly
Hardware failure analysis


Experience working with test instruments such as:

Digital Multimeter (DMM)
Oscilloscope
Spectrum Analyzer


Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with Linux
Exposure to LabVIEW
Understanding of manufacturing product lifecycle and ECO change management
