Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a leading medical device manufacturer’s Cardiology team to support the development and testing of new circuit blocks as part of medical device manufacturing. This role is responsible for developing concepts and executing specifications, designs, plans, and builds of PCBAs within medical devices. The engineer will lead or participate in cross-functional project teams to develop clear electrical design specifications, evaluate the feasibility of concepts, and provide formal design estimates, while coordinating, monitoring, and documenting project designs, protocols, technical documentation, and statistical analyses. The role includes creating electrical designs using departmental standard development tools and procedures, designing electrical systems and specifying components, and developing electrical engineering test setups to perform bench testing using oscilloscopes, power supplies, and multimeters to confirm products meet hardware and performance requirements. The engineer will translate hardware requirements into executable test protocols, prepare standard reports and documentation to communicate project status and results, and collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and technicians in the design, assembly, and debugging of equipment. Additionally, this role supports FDA/QSR equipment requirements by assisting in the creation of specifications and qualifications, provides training as needed to ensure control systems are operated effectively, and influences functional, departmental, and divisional procedures through active involvement in cross-functional engineering initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Biomedical degree
- 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer
- Medical Device background or highly regulated industry (automotive or aerospace)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- DVT (design verification testing) experience
- Experience writing test protocols
- Experience with statistical analysis, preferably minitab.
