Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead multiple software engineering teams responsible for delivering customer‑facing and platform initiatives.

This is a true people‑management role, not a hands‑on technical lead position.
The manager will oversee several agile teams, partner closely with Product Management and Business Analysts, and ensure consistent, predictable delivery across multiple initiatives and platforms.

The ideal candidate brings strong software engineering fundamentals, prior full‑stack development experience, and a proven track record of managing engineers, addressing performance challenges, and balancing competing priorities in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities
Lead sprint planning, execution, and delivery across multiple teams
Manage and develop software engineers through regular 1:1s, feedback, and performance management
Partner closely with Product Management and Business Analysts to align priorities and delivery
Balance multiple initiatives, dependencies, and staffing needs
Provide technical oversight and guidance without day‑to‑day coding

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of software engineering experience
3+ years of direct people‑management experience
Experience managing multiple teams or initiatives simultaneously
Strong full‑stack development background
Experience with modern front‑end frameworks such as Angular
Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services such as App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, Azure Service Bus or Event Grid, Azure DevOps, Azure Monitor, and Application Insights
Experience with API‑driven and service‑oriented architectures
Strong SQL and relational database knowledge
Agile/Scrum experience
Comfortable working in a hybrid environment
Proven experience addressing performance issues

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

SaaS or enterprise systems experience
Containerization and orchestration (AKS, Docker, Kubernetes)
Azure certifications
Experience leading teams of 10+ engineers
