Agile Project Manager

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Agile Project Manager to lead critical application development initiatives. This role blends Agile methodologies (Scrum) with traditional project management practices to deliver complex projects and shape team processes as the organization transitions into a product and project-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage application development projects (front-end and back-end) for admissions systems.
• Drive a multi-year initiative to merge two admissions applications into one unified experience (through 2027).
• Apply Agile principles (Scrum) while incorporating project management fundamentals:
○ Sprint planning, backlog management, milestone tracking.
○ Work breakdown structures, budgeting, and cost control.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams: UX designers, product owners, developers, QA, and business analysts.
• Manage offshore resources and ensure seamless collaboration across time zones.
• Facilitate stakeholder communication, manage expectations, and resolve conflicts.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Optional: Provide team coaching and help shape team processes.

• Scrum experience (deep understanding of Agile principles and ceremonies).
• 5+ years of project management experience in Agile environments with strong project management skills:
○ Scope, schedule, and budget management.
○ Work breakdown structures and milestone planning.
• Experience managing application development projects (front-end and back-end).
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams (UX, BA, QA, developers).
• Familiarity with offshore team management
• Excellent stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

• Kanban knowledge or experience with hybrid Agile approaches (Scrum + Kanban).
• Experience shaping or creating new teams and processes.
• Background in large enterprise IT environments (finance, healthcare, tech).
• Familiarity with API integration (MuleSoft) and backend systems.
• PMP or Agile certifications (CSM, PMI-ACP).
