Job Description

An employer is looking for a highly skilled contract-to-hire Benefits Specialist to join one of our largest national healthcare clients for a hybrid opportunity. In this role you'll join a growing team of 13 people and offload benefit specific tasks from their HR Generalist team. In order to be successful in this role you must be familiar with MN laws and have prior experience working within the benefits / HR space. On a day-to-day basis, you'll respond to internal employee communications via phone and email regarding benefit questions, track and manage leaves, workers compensation and unemployment and must prioritize responding in a timely, professional and friendly manner. This hiring manager would prefer that this individual lives in MN and can go on site to their office in St Louis Park 1x/week, however they can be flexible regarding work location.

Required Skills & Experience

Prior experience working within the benefits space
Prior experience specifically with workers comp, unemployment and leave
Ability to respond to email and phone communication in a timely manner
Proactive communicator and customer service mindset
Familiarity with Minnesota employment laws
Ability to work CST time zone
Go getter

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Residing in MN and ability to go on site 1 day/week
