Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Sr Data Engineer to join the analytics organization at a global medical device client. In this role, you will be a part of their data analytics product team to support corporate functions analytics initiatives, with a particular focus on product data. The data engineers on this team are responsible for hands on coding within python and SQL to create the data analytics product. The tech stack includes AWS, Snowflake data warehousing, python and SQL. The project will follow typical agile sprints and leverage Jira for user story grooming and status tracking. The primary objective is to create end-to-end data pipelines for multiple source systems into AWS/Snowflake.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5-7+ years of professional data engineering experience
• Experience working with AWS architecture (RDS, Glue, EMR, EC2, S3, Postgres, EMR, etc..).
• Language experience: SQL, spark, python and knowledge of DBT/SNF flavors of SQL.
• Snowflake data warehousing experience.
• Python & SQL coding expertise.
• Strong understanding and experience working in an Agile Scrum Delivery environment.
• Experience working on a globally dispersed team.
• English speaking.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience working on a Data Product Team building re-usable data assets.
• Understanding of Medallion architecture for data products.
