The commercial construction project manager will be responsible for administration of assigned projects, including specific phases of project management under supervision, working with schedules, cost projections, contracts, and project status reports. You will work directly with owners/clients, field superintendents, subcontractors, internal accounting, IT, legal, marketing and construction management team-ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing administrative tasks related to projects and compliance matters, requiring strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in owner/client sales presentations and meet with Health Care and Federal Professionals.
- Managing/overseeing construction and coordinating all aspects of a construction project, from initial planning to final completion, ensuring its delivered on time, within budget, and to the clients satisfaction.
- Participate in design development, budget preparation, and project schedule creation.
- Share job cost responsibility with Owner by keeping Owner informed.
- Prepare and control budget, schedule, and bid documents; negotiate and award subcontracts; prepare profit projections.
- Help conduct jobsite coordination meetings and job status reports.
- Conduct project close-out duties, including final cost, punch list, final billing, and final collection of fees.
- Prepare owner contracts for review by supervising PM or department leader.
- Assist in navigation of permitting and entitlements process.
- Schedule, create agenda, and run key project milestone meetings .
- Work with Superintendents to create and execute the Project Quality Plan.
- Advanced knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing.

- 5 + years of experience with commercial construction
- Proven ability to manage projects in the $1-$30 million range.
- Ability to assume the lead responsibility in interfacing and communicating effectively with superintendents, subcontractors, owner/clients, and authorities having jurisdiction.
- Proven ability to lead a team of construction professionals including successful teaching and delegation of tasks to Project Coordinators, Engineers, and other team members.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project and works as a team with the project superintendent to manage.
- Understanding of project management tools including Textura, Procore, Building Connected, Bluebeam, etc.
- General knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing.
- Proven ability to manage multiple project types and complexities.
Four- year college degree in construction management or related field.
