An employer is looking for a highly skilled accountant to join one of our largest national clients for a remote opportunity. In this role you'll join a growing team and work to support their accounting functions including journal entrees, cash management, financial reporting and debt service coverage. This team owns multiple properties (45) primarily focused on senior and assisted living, therefore any previous experience with accounting within the property management space will help you succeed on this team. This team also uses Great Plains, therefore experience using this software is a huge plus. Additionally, a CPA is preferred, but not needed.
Responsibilities:
End to end ownership of multiple facility financial statements, including:
-Journal entry preparation and posting
-Monthly account reconciliation and documentation
-Month end analytical reviews of revenue and expenses
-Collaborating with shared services accounts payable team on invoicing and accruals
-Maintaining adequate documentation to support financial statements of assigned facilities
-Maintaining ongoing working relationship with Executive Directors and office managers of assigned facilities to ensure that facilities receive financial support and information is accurate.
-Participate in operations reviews, budget preparation and any other necessary meetings or training for assigned facilities.
-Provide cash management and banking relationships for assigned facilities.
-Research open accounting issues, document findings, and assist with identifying solutions to those issues.
-Ensure that debt or rent payments are paid timely and recorded accurately in the financial statements.
-Maintain bond and debt covenant calculations for assigned facilities, as applicable.
