Job Description

Position Overview:

Were looking for a strategically minded Content Taxonomy Program Manager to oversee our digital content repositories and help drive alignment between decentralized content efforts and a global content framework. Sometimes known as an Enterprise Content Librarian & Analysist, this role requires experience in cataloging, archiving, and maintaining digital assets. They also serve as the connective tissue across content-producing teams and technology, to ensure structured, scalable, and searchable systems for enterprise-wide content.

Youll partner closely with business units/content producers (like our proprietary AI tool, field and corporate Sales teams, Brand/creative, Editorial, etc.), and technical teams (Scheduling/registration etc.) to map local taxonomies to a global schema, identify inefficiencies or gaps, and help create a consistent metadata foundation that supports smarter reporting, reuse, and deliverywithout owning content creation itself.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the cataloging, organization, and management of digital content assets

Serve as the strategic liaison between content-producing teams and platform owners to ensure content is aligned to enterprise-wide taxonomy and schema

Audit and map existing content assets from business teams to the global content framework

Define, evolve, and maintain a central taxonomy and metadata model to ensure content is discoverable, measurable, and structured for reuse

Develop and maintain governance documentation and workflows for taxonomy updates, metadata standards, and content classification

Identify inconsistencies, gaps, or duplication in content organizationand provide actionable recommendations

Collaborate cross-functionally (e.g., Sales teams, Technology, Legal, Editorial, Product, Engineering, Marketing, etc.) to translate business needs into structured and compliant data solutions

Support content lifecycle management and translation workflows by ensuring structure and tagging enable effective delivery across regions, languages, and platforms

Define and track content-related KPIs and reporting metrics; surface insights to drive content operations and strategy

Train and guide team members / stakeholders on best practices related to cataloging, tagging and management of digital assets

Execute ongoing content audits to ensure accurate, relevant, and up-to-date information

Monitor emerging trends and capabilities to continuously improve discipline

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelors degree in Library Science, Information Management, Data Science, or a related field
-5+ years of experience in content management, digital asset management, product information management, taxonomy design, metadata strategy, or digital library sciences
-Proven success in cross-functional program management, stakeholder alignment, and governance development
-Strong understanding of metadata, taxonomy, information architecture, and content lifecycle workflows
-Working knowledge of copyright and data privacy laws
-Excellent analytical, documentation, and organizational skills
-Skilled communicator who can translate technical concepts into digestible business insights

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Masters degree in Library Science, Information Architecture, or a related field
-Experience with structured content systems (e.g., DITA, headless CMS platforms)
-Familiarity with localization workflows, content delivery platforms, and internationalization standards
-Knowledge of SEO best practices and structured data
-Understanding of semantic data, linked data, or knowledge graph principles
-Background working in large enterprise or matrixed organizations with decentralized content models
