Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to join one of our largest manufacturing clients in Minnesota. The Senior Electrical Engineer will play a key role in designing and developing new products, ensuring cost-efficiency and adherence to standards. They will create detailed circuit designs, software code, and guide projects from conceptualization through prototyping and testing. The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead small projects, manage timelines, address challenges, and coordinate team efforts. With a strong focus on understanding market trends and customer needs, this individual will identify new product opportunities and propose innovative solutions. The Senior Electrical Engineer will also provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and stay current on emerging technologies.
This role requires 5-days on site in Dayton, MN.

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelors degree in electrical, computer or software engineering or computer science or equivalent field
-5+ years of experience in embedded engineering and electrical embedded system design
-Experience working with both firmware and hardware
-Deep exposure to new product development with demonstrated repeated success producing innovative and successful products

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-PLC programming exposure or experience
-Linux experience
-Cloud experience
