Job Description

Insight Global is seeking entry-level low voltage technicians/installers to join a dynamic team our of Maple Lake, MN. This role involves travel and night shift duties working on construction sites to install, test, and troubleshoot various systems such as structured cabling, fire alarm, and security systems. Individuals will work 4 10s, 4 12s, or potentially more dependent upon desired overtime. No prior experience is required, and training will be provided. Responsibilities include assisting with the installation of CAT5e and CAT6 copper solutions, fire alarm, security, CCTV, and paging systems. You'll learn to pull cables, fire stop, dress cables, and label them according to industry standards, support the termination of CAT5e and CAT6 jacks, aid in the installation of IP cameras, including aiming, focusing, and basic troubleshooting, participate in testing copper cables using appropriate test equipment, assist in troubleshooting and repairing copper cables, and learn to read and understand blueprints to determine closet and equipment layout.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience installing copper and fiber optic cabling systems
NICET certifications
Ability to work Night Shift and Travel

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Ability to work extended hours (overtime) as needed.
Reliable daily travel to work-sites.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, as necessary.
Ability to climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and work in aerial lifts.
Comfortable with, and capable of, working in open construction environments.
Must be able to work safely following company policy/procedures on safety.
