Job Description

This position will work with our Healthcare client to support their State Agency customer as a Technical Business Data Analyst. This role bridges business analyst and data analytics skills in a client facing role on various projects; performing data analysis, data cleansing, testing data creation, data verification, gathering requirements, creating detailed design specifications and then following projects through implementation. 25% of the job is client facing, although you will have another person on the team who already has client relationships to work alongside. 75% of the role is focused on development/reporting. They use PowerBI, so theyre looking for someone to come in having this skill to immediately add value. In their current environment, theyre challenged with not having a server to publish reports through or so users can interact with the reporting, so although theyre producing reports, theyre putting them on their web applications so others are accessing from there. Their current web app environment is .NET, so it would be helpful if someone comes into this role with Microsoft experience, although this can be learned. In this role, you are strictly working in a development environment different from role where youd be supporting development, production, etc., and you will not have access to upper environments. From an ETL perspective, we are looking for someone who is open to learning how they do things here. Having experience in a data warehousing environment is most important to the client. They do SSIS packages, but the web application/development team is primarily responsible for those tasks, so its a nice to have skill. Their ETL environment is home grown, and theyre currently going through a Teradata implementation, so again, looking for someone who is willing to learn this environment and use their skills here. This person is also responsible for data cleansing, based on the clients requirements. Its important this person knows how to resolve issues with data, and where to find the right data when information is missing. We are really looking for someone who is a self starter, who can work independently, and who can communicate and articulate what theyre doing technically, with the client.

We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to HR@insightglobal.com.
