Senior/Principal Cloud Engineer

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join a Medical Device start up company local to Roseville, MN. In this role, you will lead the Cloud efforts for the organization, owning the total cloud infrastructure, data management, organization, security and direction for the company. Additional responsibilities include:
- Technical lead for team of multiple software engineers (on staff & contract)
- Architect, develop, verify, and maintain scalable, efficient cloud & backend
solutions
- Work closely with systems, hardware, software application, and firmware
engineers to define software requirements
- Conduct code reviews to ensure deliverables meet quality standards
- Develop and deploy a cloud database solution for a medical system,
including management of patient data
- Potentially, lead and organize collaboration with external development
contractors / companies

- 10+ years of experience in software development
- Proven experience in cloud architecture and design, with a strong
understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience in cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and DevOps
practices
- Strong understanding of software development tools and version control
systems
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker)
- Experience implementing cybersecurity best practices
- Ability to organize work and lead other engineers
- Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills
- Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software
Engineering, or a related field

- Experience developing software for medical applications
