Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a skilled and motivated Test Engineer to join a growing Medical Device client. This individual will be responsible for the definition, specification, validation, and deployment of test fixtures and software for test system(s) which test electrical medical device(s). The initial scope of this role is multiple test and calibration steps for a single device in the client's system. In this case, there is an existing reference design. We will look to this individual to determine where to leverage existing tester design and where to modify the design to meet client's needs. This role has the potential to expand to continued, ongoing development of tests for additional components of the client's system.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, validate, and implement test fixtures and software for electrical medical devices.
Define test specifications and procedures to ensure product quality and reliability.
Collaboration with the design team and contract manufacturer to understand product requirements, development timelines, budgets, and constraints.
Define test system and any necessary ongoing calibration and maintenance requirements to ensure ongoing success.
Document test plans, procedures, specifications, and results in a clear, concise manner.
Provide technical support and training to team members, as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in test engineering, particularly in the specification and definition of test fixtures.
Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and test methodologies.
Proficiency with test equipment and tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
Experience with automated test systems and software
Proficiency in automating manufacturing calibrations and trims of devices under test.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to electrical device testing.
Proficiency in C# programming language.
Proficiency in Python programming language.
