Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager for a large Medical Device Manufacturer local to Minnesota. This position can sit in either Marlborough, MA or Arden Hills, MN. As part of the Indirect Sourcing organization, the Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager develops and implements sourcing strategies that result in a sustainable competitive advantage for the Global IT category, while managing critical activities to reduce costs without compromising quality. In this highly visible position, the incumbent will build and leverage relationships between suppliers and client sites, divisions and regional sourcing teams, and partner with the Chief Information Officer and IT leadership to achieve organizational and functional goals.

Your Responsibilities will include:

Leading IT sourcing specialists in category strategy development, strategic sourcing, and major contracts negotiations
Establishing cross-functional sourcing teams to evaluate and onboard suppliers to support project timelines, manage cost and achieve company performance goals
Managing outsourcing contract compliance and supporting sourcing teams with due diligence and creating solutions for outsourcing; promote best practices in outsourcing
Strategically influence and build relationships with outside suppliers and respective internal leads to deliver optimal outcomes
Owning the IT Sourcing process; serve as the subject matter expert
Conducting periodic market analysis of rates and other commercial terms
Leading enterprise governance process and supplier management of outsourced providers including the development and implementation of KPIs; support functional governance meetings
Negotiating new agreements and SOWs in support of key sourcing areas
Building and developing effective partnerships with C-suite, IT managers and business owners
Guiding respective internal leads and team members through a holistic and systematic category approach to supplier selection and management

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors Degree in any discipline
3 years of experience in IT Sourcing (i.e. software and services)
Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement
Experience managing project teams and implementing change management programs
Experience with project management and contract negotiations
Experience managing ambiguous situations with conflict resolution skills; strong interpersonal skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Masters Degree in any discipline
Professional certification in Supply Chain Management (CPMS, MCIPS or equivalent)
5 years of experience in IT Sourcing
Critical thinking and analytical skills
People management experience (i.e line manager) with ability to communicate effectively with individuals on all levels
Experience designing, building or managing business process improvement and/or automation
