Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Power BI Developer to join the team of one of our medical device clients local to Minneapolis, MN. In this role, you will work closely with their data team to deliver Power BI analytics reporting for business stakeholders. You will serve as the main point of contact for support of their offshore Power BI contract resources and be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and deployment of Power BI reports and dashboards. You will be expected to provide guidance, solve technical blockers, and provide direction for offshore resources when needed. At times, you may be asked to lead and/or actively participate in meetings to communicate timelines and expectations by engaging business analysts and collaborate with data engineers. This role requires a highly energetic and collaborative Developer who has a passion for supporting data and analytics team's efforts.

Required Skills & Experience

-Local to Minneapolis, MN and willing to work onsite 3x a week.

-Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university.

-At least 4 years of experience in working with Power BI, the Microsoft BI stack, and SQL Server Management Studio.

-Proficiency in data modeling, DAX, data transformation, and visualization techniques.

-Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

-Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; possesses strong organization and prioritization skills.

-Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

-Comfortable working in a high volume, fast-paced, rapidly changing, results-oriented work environment.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Experience with project management and scrum tools, especially those in the Microsoft Azure stack (Azure DevOps).

-Experience working with offshore contractor resources and/or experience in leading a team of Power BI developers.

-Knowledge of scripting and programming languages such as Python.

-Experience presenting data for C-level stakeholders.

-Experience working with Databricks.
