Job Description

An Employer in the Roseville, MN area is seeking an onsite Biorepository Technician for a 4 Month contract. This role involves completing daily tasks within various functional areas of Biorepository Services. On a daily basis, you will complete workflow tasks in one or more of the functional service areas of Biorepository Services; examples of such business units include the Registry, quality control sample program, research sample program, KitMaker, and DIY (online registration kits). Individual responsibilities include independent completion of all Registry tasks, monitoring liquid nitrogen levels, pulling samples for shipment, and processing of donor/recipient pair samples in Research, or independent completion of routine paperwork and core business kits in KitMaker. This role requires a high-level or care and judgement to safeguard the integrity and utility of the biological samples and/or collection kits that the Biorepository Services handles, including the data associated with the kit/sample lifecycle record. Please remember, this role may require access to Personal Medical Information protected by multiple security and privacy regulatory. All personnel are required to control this data in a manner outlined in the Information Security Policy and Donor and Patient Confidentiality SOP. The position also entails providing support to Biorepository Specialists, maintaining records, and assisting with tasks and projects assigned by Biorepository Leadership.

Required Skills & Experience

* Two years laboratory or other related work experience.

* Biological/medical laboratory work experience.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Bachelor's degree in a biological sciences discipline, including laboratory coursework.

o Upon evaluation, equivalent related post-high school biological/medical laboratory work experience and/or education may be substituted for the degree requirement.

* One year directly related laboratory experience (collegiate lab experience is acceptable). Strong understanding of lab safety.

* Experience handling biological materials.

* Perform work with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

* Provide good customer service and collaborate with good interpersonal skills.
