Job Description
An employer is looking for a highly skilled remote Technical Writer / Instructional Designer to join one of our largest national healthcare clients for a contract opportunity. In this role you'll join a growing team supporting the State of West Virginia. This role will primarily include doing maintenance in the form of job aids, versus developing new material, therefore you must have experience working on more of the technical writer side of things, as that will be your primary responsibility in this role.
Responsibilities:
-Write clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation, such as user guides, online help, release notes, FAQs, and tutorials
-Design and develop interactive and multimedia e-learning courses, webinars, videos, and simulations using various authoring tools and platforms
-Apply instructional design principles and methodologies to ensure the learning content is aligned with the learning objectives and outcomes
-Conduct needs analysis, audience analysis, task analysis, and content analysis to identify the learning gaps and requirements
-Collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and reviewers to gather feedback and ensure the quality and accuracy of the learning content
-Manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and expectations
-Research and stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in technical writing and instructional design
Required Skills & Experience
-Bachelor's degree in technical writing, instructional design, communication, or a related field, or relevant experience
-Hands on experience in technical writing and instructional design, preferably for software products
-Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
-Strong knowledge of technical writing and instructional design standards -and tools
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
-Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in simple and engaging terms
