Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Environmental Specialist II to support a Fortune 500 Medical Device client in the Minneapolis area. The Environmental Specialist II position ensures that the company meets and is in compliance with all applicable environmental regulations at a Federal, Stare, and local level. This role functions as a specialist in not only environmental sustainability but continuous improvement as well. This individual should have the passion and experience in identifying, developing and implementing Sustainability initiatives (energy reduction, pollution prevention, waste reduction and recycling).
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Sustainable Management, Corporate Social Responsibility, or other related environmental degree.
- 3-10 years working in the environmental compliance and/or sustainability field.
- 3 years of work experience/Knowledge related to environmental regulatory agencies and requirements (EPA, MPCA, DOT, EPCRA, RCRA, etc.).
Working experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Work experience in Medical Device/pharmaceutical/electronic industries
- Hazardous materials/waste management knowledge.
- ISO 14001 Environmental Management System coordination.
- DOT Hazardous Materials General Awareness (Title 49 CFR, Part 172, Subpart H) certificate.
- Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certificate.
RCRA Hazardous Waste Management (Title 40 CFR, Part 265) certificate.
