An employer is looking for a highly skilled remote SAS Programmer to join one of our largest national healthcare clients. In this role you will be joining a growing team of 8, but will be interacting with a larger group of 25 developers split across 4 separate Agile scrum teams. In this role you will maintain existing applications and develop new applications supported by FDM on FIN360 platforms for various accounting business teams. Any experience working with healthcare data is not necessary, but will help you be successful. Any experience working with huge data sets will help you be successful on this team as well.
Responsibilities:
-Supports the design, development, testing, and deployment of data analytics programs and processes for supporting various operational data stores using SAS, Hadoop/Hive and Relational Databases.
-Collects, interpret, and aggregate data from traditional and non-traditional data sources for supporting programs and applications utilizing various data analytics purposes.
-Understands data requirements and business need to develop data tools such as dashboards and data visualizations using SAS and PowerBI.
-Uses business intelligence, data visualization, query, analytic and statistical software to build solutions, perform analysis and interpret data.
-Solves moderately complex problems and has ability to translate concepts into practice.
-Provides ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
-5+years of experience as a programmer using SAS, SAS/Macros.
-5+ years of data analysis experience - ability to work with large volumes of data, disparate relational database and familiarity with various database technologies.
-5+ years of experience with developing/writing SQL queries.
-2+ years of experience with Hadoop-Hive-QL
-Ability to understand and support modern large-scale data pipelines to support data integration for reporting & analytics and machine learning features.
-Progressive work experience in a data analytics or related role.
-Demonstrated analytical, and business acumen.
