Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced SuiteCommerce Advanced Developer who will be responsible for creating, enhancing, and maintaining ecommerce websites. Reporting to the Software Development Manager of Ecommerce, this role involves conducting research, gathering information, interpreting data, and recommending solutions.

Develop and modify ecommerce websites, covering Front End, Back End, Database, third-party libraries, and integrations, with a focus on addressing business requests and exceptions.

Collaborate with internal and external developers, Business Analysts, Business Subject Matter Experts, and external Customers throughout the software development life cycle.

Provide support and maintenance for the ecommerce sites and identify the root cause of system outages to prevent future incidents.

Mentor or onboard other Development resources as required.

Design and implement complex changes, extensions, and enhancements to web-based applications in line with software standards and conventions.

Evaluate current architecture and provide recommendations for maintaining the platform on supported infrastructure.

Review legacy web-based applications and propose migration solutions to standard web platforms, such as SuiteCommerce Advanced.

Collaborate with external resources for complex changes on ecommerce sites as directed.

Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to QA processes, and perform technical design and unit testing for system changes.

Ensure accurate data quality related to data migration, conversion, and loading processes following Data Governance standards.

Maintain system stability during on and off-hours.

Work with business analysts to complete design documents and participate in code deployment and optimization.

Review and deploy 3rd party hotfixes and upgrades and recommend process improvements and best practices.

Collaborate closely with ERP, IT operations, and other IT teams to ensure reliable, high-performing systems.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent degree

5+ years of SuiteCommerce Advanced (setup, configuration, and customization)

Experience with source control/version control using Team Foundation Server (TFS) or Azure DevOps

Advanced knowledge in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SASS, XML, JSON, and REST

Proficiency in using WebStorm, Visual Studio, or Visual Code for development

Experience with .Net, C#, Node.js, Jquery, Handlebars, Typescript, Underscore and Gulp

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with PHP

Experience with Magneto

Experience with Kilimanjaro and Elbrus (Versions of SuiteCommerce)
