Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Network Administrator/Tier 3 Support specialist to join a great team with a large utility construction company here in Minnesota. This position will be responsible for providing hardware, software, and network problem resolution to all users. The specialist is primarily responsible for assisting to resolve and clearly communicate resolutions in a friendly/non-technical manner to all users. The position reports to the IT Director.



General Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to)

- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve daily issues related to workstations, peripherals, phones, mobile devices, operating systems (MS Windows), and business applications

- Provide installation, configuration and support of desktop/laptop computers, peripheral equipment, and software

- Work with hiring managers to order hardware/software for new employees and set up new computers in a timely manner

- Perform routine updates of computer hardware and software

- Rebuild, configure, repair, and image computer equipment, as needed

- Research IT purchase requests, obtain quotes & approvals, create purchase orders, and track, receive, and deploy equipment as necessary

- Maintain hardware/software inventory, including software license inventory

- Actively support and manage current tickets, open issues, and project support activities

Required Skills & Experience

Basic Qualifications:

- Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field

- 3 to 5 years related experience in desktop systems software and support.



Preferred Qualifications:

- Knowledge of SolarWinds, Service Now, TeamViewer, AD Manager, Windows 10, SharePoint, O365, PrinterLogic, and Intune

- Plan and document complex system design activities and to configure systems to be consistent with institutional policies/procedures

- Communicate technical/complex information both verbally and in writing; establish and maintain cooperation, understanding, trust and credibility; perform multiple tasks concurrently and respond to emergency situations effectively

- Leverage critical thinking skills to evaluate all possible solutions and use appropriate judgment to apply most effective resolution methodology

- Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work

- Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience with Intune for MDM
