Job Description

In this fast paced position, you will respond to calls from members and prospective members, answering questions regarding purchasing or changing health plan coverage for individuals and families. As a sales representative, you will be expected to identify health coverage needs, present appropriate plan options and actively enroll prospective members.

Accountabilities:

* Assist with incoming prospective member calls regarding Medicare or Individual Commercial Products

* Determine coverage needs in a prompt, professional and customer friendly manner.

* Proactively recommend appropriate health plan coverage options and create coverage proposals.

* Follow up by phone with potential applicants to answer additional questions.

* Follow HealthPartners' procedures for documenting conversations and tracking contacts in CRM system.

* Comply with all Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), State of Minnesota, and departmental policies and procedures.

* Meets and exceeds specified sales goals for Medicare and/or individual product new member sales.

* Meet benchmarks for call metrics (number of calls answered, average call time, etc.)

* Schedule adherence

Schedule varies. Full-time, flexibility for evenings and occasional weekends required.

Required Skills & Experience

* Active insurance license (or recently licensed) in home state.

* Minimum of one-year of consultative sales or service experience working in the insurance industry.

* Experience working with people on the phone, preferably in a "call center" setting.

* Excellent customer service and telephone skills.

* Advanced proficiency and experience with multiple software systems/platforms.

* Medicare Insurance Sales experience
