Technical Consultant - API Marketplace Understand analyze and derive insights on client needs current usage adoption of APIs
The Technical Consultant is a client-facing technical role that is part of the Provider Digital Engagement and Experience team. Your role will provide technical expertise to Client Onboarding and Account Managers to successfully onboard new clients and adoption of various APIs. This will also focus on digital products for enhancement opportunities.
The individual in this role is responsible to understand technical features information and expected benefits to our customers and the organization. You will work with stakeholders to identify challenges and collect feedback that is shared with the larger product teams for future development consideration.
In addition to technical and analytical acumen this role requires focus on our customer experience. The Technical Consultant understands the information contained in our APIs and helps client resolve technical challenges and remains abreast of new features for potential adoption opportunities or future improvements.
Can you please provide a summary of the project/initiative which describes whats being done? [Client onboarding for APIs require technical assistance in helping answering client queries issues demos and technical working sessions. This is essentials for new clients using our APIs.
What does the ideal candidate background look like ex: healthcare specific background etc.? We want to be as specific as possible with our firms so they can find the type of candidate youre looking for.
It would be a preferred qualification.

Good communication skills with technical knowledge as this is external client facing role.
What experience will set candidates apart from one another?
Mature client facing skills - such as comfort with unkowns active listening and communication. Technical skills perspective - candidate good with analysis/troubleshooting/triaging experience using splunk and general questioning skills to influence the technical framework for the client is important.
Are you open to candidates that would need to be 100 remote for the duration of the engagement?
Are you open to candidates that cannot convert to FTE without sponsorship?
Would prefer who would not require sponsorship however I am flexible.
What does the team structure look like - how many members and what is the break-down of the teams skill sets ex: 1 PM 4 Developers etc.?
Including this person we would have 3 team members who would work with the clients getting onboarded and post-production technical support/active technical collaboration
What does the interview process look like?
a. How many rounds? For Contractors only one upto 1-hour with one person or panel of two persons would suffice.
b. Video vs. phone? Prefer Video to see the candidate at least briefly if not for the entire interview.
c. How technical will the interviews be? It will be a mix of technical and behavioral interview to assess both the technical and client facing skills.
d. When do you anticipate starting the interview process? ASAP.
Collaborate with and influence product team to develop and enhance analytics on API usage adoption and behavior
Provide onboarding and ongoing support to clients and customer success team by responding to client queries issues knowledge sharing and technical support during onboarding and post-launch API usage
Conduct periodic information and technical working sessions with clients to create awareness of APIs or help adoption
Assist in development of internal best practices and processes as well as internal product development for APIs
Build relationships with and lead presentations to clients regarding performance findings and recommendations in collaboration with customer success team
Experience with APIs/microservices JSON/REST API framework and Object-oriented programming
3 years of experience with BI/analytics Splunk reports and dashboarding tools
Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to document technical content
Willingness to learn lead and adapt and comfortable with less-defined information - Continuous learning is a preferred skill
Strategizing with biz to successfully onboard and increase adoption
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced innovative rapidly changing environment.
Ability to recognize gaps in business process as its related to technology and recommend a resolution plan.
Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
2 years experience with relational databases SQL and NoSql databases
3 years of experience in technical/business leadership position
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel comfortable working with large datasets
Familiarity with Cloud Infrastructure including Azure and AWS
Experience with system design of highly available and scalable applications
Experience with Spring framework
Familiarity with container technologies like Kubernetes Docker or similar
Four year degree in computer science or equivalent experience
