At UnitedHealthcare we are expected and empowered to do our lifes best work. As part of the Operations Training team the Instructional Designer designs technical and effective role-based training which helps enable our staff to do their best work. 
 In partnership with functional leaders you will identify performance and development needs and recommend training solutions. You will leverage the ADDIE/SAM instructional design framework to design effective learning solutions which are learner-centered organized accurate agile and engaging. 
 Working with SMEs you will leverage a variety of learning development tools to develop training that utilizes a blended learning approach including instructor led simulation Web-based and e-learning. You will be updating and improving content on new systems in a fast paced and changing environment. 
 Required Qualifications: 
 
BA/BS degree 
 2 years of experience designing and developing instructor led live and virtual and elearning technical / software training 
 2 years of experience working in an instructional design role 
 Experience with Articulate 360 and Storyline 
 Excellent time management organizational and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities 
 Experience in building engaging blended learning programs and tools 
 Experience in conducting learning needs analysis ADDIE/SAM Model 
 Mastery in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint 
 Build relationships with stakeholders and SME in analyzing training needs 
 Work samples required 
 
 Preferred Qualifications: 
 4 years of experience designing and developing technical and/or software training live and virtual 
 Intermediate proficiency in SharePoint administration 
 Experience with Captivate and Camtasia 
 Experience with LMS administration and content management 
 Strong analytical skills attention to detail problem-solving and fact-based decision-making abilities 
 Demonstrates effective interpersonal influence collaboration and listening skills and drives for results individually and in a team setting 
 
 What are the work hours? ex. 9am-5pm day/night shifts rotating shifts etc generally 8am-430pm CT with some flexibility for an earlier or later start/finish 
 What does the interview process look like? 
 a. How many rounds? 2 rounds: 1st 30 min phone/video 2nd 60 min phone/video 
 b. Video vs. phone? Phone or video via MS Teams
