Job Description

DevOps Engineer - Java SSE
Basking Ridge NJ
LOCATION: Remote
Bill rate: 76
Shift time : 9 AM to 5 PM Pacific Time or Mountain Time with additional efforts for release and other critical team activities. Expected to be available for production deployments/troubleshooting during off hours/weekends.

Candidate will be working on the EPMP Enterprise Preference Management program. EPMP will allow us to capture and store individual consumer preferences and contact information in a centralized location to then be leveraged across channels creating a personalized simple consistent consumer experience.
This is a dev ops role with more focus on production support. Though there will be development work it wont be the end-to-end kind and it will be more fixes enhancements upgrades etc. So only candidates who are willing and interested in this type of a role will fit the position.
Primary Responsibilities:
1 Handling high priority incidents and their resolutions.
2 Root cause analysis for high priority issues.
3 Expected to be available for on-call rotations deployments during off hours/weekends.
4 Good communication and interpersonal skills.
5 Expected to adapt in dynamic and collaborative work environment and make independent decision
6 Follows and enforces the standards as established in team
7 Work in agile mode to deliver projects when required.
8 Troubleshoot Jenkins issues e.g. pipeline jobs build issues fix Pod/Container related issues.

What does the team structure look like - how many members and what is the break-down of the teams skill sets ex: 1 PM 4 Developers etc.?
4 onshore team members 4 offshore - developers

Must Have Skills:
1 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
2 Strong troubleshooting skills both in systems as well as development.
3 Must have hands on experience on RESTFul web services
4 Must have hands on experience with atleast 4 of J2EE/Java 1.8 JPA Hibernate Spring Framework MYSQL MongoDB OLAP SL4J OAuth 2.0 and Eclipse Spring Boot Message Queue.
5 Knowledge of Kubernetes / Azure.
6 Some experience with GIT and SAML
7 Comfortable with analyzing large volumes of data
8 Some experience on troubleshooting high priority incidents
9 Knowledge of monitoring and some monitoring tools
10 Minimum 3-5 years of experience in design development and implementation of enterprise applications using J2EE Technologies.

Nice To Have Skills:
1 Knowledge on Java design patterns coding standards and performance improvements.
2 Some experience on Maven SSL Fortify Scan SONAR Junit UNIX Shell Scripts
3 Work experience in Healthcare domain.
4 Knowledge of monitoring tools like Splunk New Relic
5 Knowledge of a ticketing system like ServiceNow
6 Knowledge on UI technologies like React/Angular

Interview Process:

d. Candidate must be able to share screen with video using Teams
