Job Description

An employer is looking for a highly skilled Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst to join one of our largest national healthcare clients for a remote opportunity. In this role you will be required to create use cases and user stories, and act as a driver during meetings in order to hit deliverables. In this role you will join a team of 12, split between their Sql focused data engineering team, and their implementation team. This group is working to create a brand-new application with a delivery date of July. This application is focused on 837 EDI Medicare claim submissions. Any previous experience working within healthcare claims will help you be successful on this team. This role has a potential to convert to a permanent employee based on performance.



Primary Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders (e.g., business owners, process owners, domain experts) to identify specific business requirements

- Construct workflow diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications

- Conduct current state analysis to gather current business, functional and non-functional requirements and constraints (i.e., "as-is" state)

- Document future state using appropriate tools/processes (e.g., "to-be" process maps)

- Facilitate all needed requirements-gathering activities (e.g., meetings, workshops)

- Serve as a subject matter expert to internal stakeholders on all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

- Work as domain expert to look for the Gaps in the process/ systems and do the process re-engineering and work with development teams to get these automated

- Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues

- Define and update the project schedule to track/measure progress of the requirements-gathering process (e.g., status, milestones, tasks, deliverables)

- Experience working with Agile as a Scrum Master

- Communicate status of various projects to senior leadership

- Lead change and innovation -- pursue opportunities to adopt new technologies and drive adoption to enhance business outcomes -- drive and mange high-quality execution across organizational lines

Required Skills & Experience

-At least 3 years of experience working as a business analyst

-Previous experience working within the healthcare space

-Ability to write sql queries from scratch

-Previous experience leading meetings, and driving deliverables

-Experience creating use cases and user stories
