Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and operationally-focused In-Service Program Manager for an Aerospace customer in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role is crucial for managing products throughout their post-development lifecycle, including manufacturing support, field service, obsolescence management, and minor product redesigns. You will be instrumental in ensuring customer satisfaction and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Focused on managing aerospace products after they've been developed and entered service. This role is more operationally focused than engineering-focused.

Key responsibilities include:
Leading projects related to obsolescence redesigns (replacing parts no longer available).
Managing supplier transitions.
Driving continuous improvement projects to reduce product costs and increase margins.
Interfacing with customers on manufacturing progress, service concerns, and minor product modifications.
Collaborating with internal teams (manufacturing, supply chain, logistics) to scope, plan, and execute projects.
Understanding and contributing to the product's P&L (profit and loss).

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree in engineering or related field
5+ years in Program management and operations focused role
Has managed aerospace products after they've been developed and entered service
Ability to articulate experience collaborating and delivering across manufacturing, supply chain, & logistics to scope, plan, and execute projects.
Experience leading projects related to obsolescence redesigns
Experience interfacing with customers on manufacturing progress, service concerns, and minor product modifications.
P&L and financial ownership of product line

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience in working with SAP/ERP
Strong understanding of AS9100 and FAA requirements and regulations.
Formal Continuous Improvement, Lean or Six Sigma training.
Demonstrated experience implementing process automation and application of AI tools in the manufacturing environment
