Job Description

The IT Conversion Technician is responsible for executing Pulse server conversions for our client's stores by following documented conversion walkthrough procedures. This role performs detailed pre conversion readiness checks, executes server host swaps and data migrations, validates encryption, configures software and hardware components, performs post conversion testing with stores, and completes all required documentation. The technician is also responsible for troubleshooting issues during conversions and coordinating escalations or rollbacks when required.
This role performs hands on technical execution and works directly with store contacts during live conversions.
Pre Conversion (Day Before)
• Complete conversion checklists and readiness validation
• Schedule host encryption
Day Of Conversion Execution
• Verify host encryption completion
• Confirm processing date and credit card settlement
• Coordinate host swaps with stores
• Perform data migrations using approved Jenkins jobs
• Validate file transfers and database integrity
• Join hosts to the domain and correct time synchronization
• Install drivers, software, certificates, and required updates
• Configure printers, caller ID, replication, and services
• Conduct post conversion calls with stores
• Document completion and update ServiceNow and related systems
• Rerun failed jobs and corrective steps
• Execute documented rollback procedures when required

Work environment:
-Remote execution with live store interaction
-Early morning, overnight, or time sensitive conversion windows
-Production impacting work requiring accuracy and attention to detail


$18/hr - $21/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
