Job Description
The MEP Construction Manager will lead onsite execution of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) construction activities for large-scale data center projects. This individual will oversee contractor performance, ensure compliance with design and safety standards, and drive schedule, budget, and quality outcomes to support data center expansion.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight of the developer managing all MEP construction activities
• Review contractor and vendor work to ensure compliance with design specs, quality standards, and safety requirements
• Track and validate project schedules, milestones, and risk areas to ensure on-time delivery
• Monitor MEP budgets including invoicing, change orders, and scope alignment
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure MEP systems align with broader project and operational goals
• Conduct site walks and audits to verify construction quality, safety, and progress
• Identify project risks and drive mitigation strategies, escalating issues as needed
• Promote best practices and innovative solutions across MEP construction execution
• Provide regular updates to leadership on progress, risks, and escalations
• Ensure compliance with local codes, safety standards, and client requirements
• Mentor junior team members and support cross-functional collaboration
• Support commissioning, turnover, and closeout activities to ensure operational readiness

Required Skills & Experience
• 5 years minimum of experience in construction project management, with a focus on MEP systems
• Strong experience supporting data center, mission-critical, or large-scale infrastructure projects
• Experience managing contractors, developers, and vendor relationships
• Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, and project risks
• Strong understanding of MEP systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) within construction environments
• Experience with change orders, project controls, and construction oversight
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Direct experience managing MEP scopes on data center construction projects
• Experience working in an owner’s rep or oversight capacity (vs. direct GC execution)
• Familiarity with commissioning, turnover, and operational readiness processes
• Experience with project management tools and reporting systems
• Background working with large hyperscale or enterprise data center clients
