Job Description
A large material handling company in Grand Rapids is seeking a SCADA Engineer to support the full lifecycle of visualization projects. This role will focus heavily on building and deploying SCADA systems in-house before launching to customer sites.
Responsibilities include developing visualization systems from scratch—building pages, screens, and dashboards—configuring environments for emulation, programming solutions, and integrating PLC tags into SCADA platforms. The engineer will test systems internally, compress and deploy solutions to customer sites, and provide ongoing support post-launch.
This individual will also partner closely with site teams to troubleshoot issues, maintain systems, and implement updates as needed. The team supports multiple visualization platforms including Ignition, WinCC, and Atvise, so flexibility and willingness to work across technologies is key.
Salary Range: $80,000-$115,000

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
2–3+ years as a Controls Engineer (PLC experience required)
3–4+ years of SCADA / visualization experience
Experience with PLC tag integration into SCADA systems
Hands-on with HMI/SCADA screens, dashboards, and troubleshooting
Exposure to platforms like Ignition, WinCC, or similar
Interest in growing within SCADA/visualization
