Job Description
Serve as subject matter expert on hydraulic axial piston variable displacement pump (PUP) technology
Analyze internal pump mechanisms to diagnose issues and develop technical solutions
Interpret test data, graphs, and performance results to troubleshoot system behavior and drive improvements
Support current product maintenance while contributing to future R&D initiatives
Collaborate with test labs, supply chain, and engineering teams to validate performance and resolve issues
Provide technical guidance without heavy involvement in detailed CAD design—focus on concept validation and system-level thinking
Act as a liaison between engineering teams and leadership, translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights
Identify opportunities for improvement in performance, reliability, and manufacturability

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Hands-on experience with hydraulic axial piston variable displacement pumps (PUP) – critical requirement
Strong ability to analyze test data and performance metrics to drive engineering decisions
Deep understanding of hydraulic systems and pressure management (e.g., ~3,000 psi applications)
Proven track record of problem-solving within complex mechanical systems
Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, lab, and supply chain teams
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with related technologies (e.g., transmissions, alternative pump systems)
Familiarity with MATLAB or similar analytical tools
Background in aerospace, heavy equipment, or agricultural machinery applications
