Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a software developer with robotics expertise to help productionize and scale a grasp-planning software package for real-world robotic manipulation applications. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience in robotics, automation, and deployment-ready system development.
Additional Details:
• Productionize and maintain a grasp-planning software package for use in real robotic systems
• Design, implement, test, and optimize software for robotic manipulation and automation
• Integrate grasp-planning capabilities with ROS/ROS2-based robotics workflows
• Improve software reliability, usability, maintainability, and deployment readiness
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners across robotics, software, and automation
• Support validation in simulation and real-world environments, including production-oriented use cases
Compensation:
$30/hr to $35/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
• Master’s degree or higher in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Strong programming skills in Python and C++
• Solid experience with ROS/ROS2, ideally in grasp planning or manipulation workflows
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Background in computational mechanics
• Familiarity with robotic simulation tools such as Isaac Sim or MuJoCo
• Experience in manufacturing automation
• Prior experience deploying robotics systems in production environments
