Job Description

A large automation supplier in Auburn Hills, MI is looking for an Engineer (Robot Controls and Dressout) to be responsible for the development and engineering of controls and dressout designs for the Product Plus Group (PPG) with a focus on efficient and accurate execution to help drive customer satisfaction along with overall project profitability. The ideal candidate is a customer-focused, problem-solver who has experience with robotics in various applications and proven ability to develop controls and dressout prints.

Required Skills & Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical and/or Mechanical) or related technical field; or equivalent, relevant experience.

· 2+ years of experience in a machine shop

· 2+ years of experience of industrial automation design experience

· 2+ years of experience developing tooling (understands metals/materials)

· Ability to create and read electrical interface, robot mechanical dressout and pneumatic prints

· Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks drawing suites

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

· Prior experience with robot interfacing and peripheral equipment integration/operation

· PLC programming experience
